Included as part of the Classic and Premier Lifetime Services, Probate Support can be accessed through our partner, exclusively by our Lifetime Service members and their Executors. Securing this support can provide reassurance and peace of mind as Lifetime members and their Executors will never have to face probate alone.

The two service options we offer through our partner are:

  • Executor Support

  • Full Estate Administration

Executor Support

Offered as part of the Classic and Premier Lifetime Services, Executor Support provided through our partners offers ongoing advice and support throughout the probate process, including:

  • Guidance on inheritance tax and Executor’s duties
  • Assistance with completing Probate and IHT forms

Full Administration

This is a comprehensive service in which our regulated expert partners manage the entire estate administration process, offering advice and support throughout at a fixed fee that is quoted upfront. It includes:

  • Notifying all institutions where the deceased held assets and gathering relevant information to determine the estate’s value at the date of death
  • Conducting a lost asset search if required
  • Collecting in any assets that do not require a grant
  • Completing and submitting the necessary IHT forms (if applicable)
  • Liaising with HMRC to obtain IHT clearance
  • Preparing and submitting probate application forms

  • Liaising with the Probate Registry to obtain the Grant of Probate (approximate timeframe: 16-20 weeks)

  • Re-contacting institutions once the Grant of Probate is issued

  • Transferring or selling properties and updating the Land Registry
  • Collecting all assets into the estate
  • Preparing final estate accounts
  • Ensuring all liabilities are settled in accordance with legal requirements
  • Distributing the estate as per the terms of the will
